This presentation is about the practice of Instructional Systems Design (ISD) as it exists in the real world today and how it is being modified and used to produce training solutions that are faster, better and easier. Several areas of ISD are presented to illustrate how ISD has been adapted to meet real world constraints and how it is best used with current delivery technologies, specifically e-Learning. The presentation provides suggestions relating to some of the more important parts of the ISD process. Learn useful techniques and practices that have emerged over time from the combination of research and the continuous striving by practitioners to find Faster/Better/Easier ways to develop effective training interventions.

Dr. Darryl Sink is President of Darryl L. Sink & Associates, Inc., (DSA). DSA has 29 years of experience designing great learning experiences. He is the author of six guides to instructional design used with DSA’s workshops and is a contributing author to ISPI Handbooks of Human Performance Technology and most recently the 2008 Handbook For Workplace Performance - ASTD. Dr. Sink is the recipient of ISPI’s Professional Service Award, and three times been awarded the Outstanding Instructional Product Of The Year Award by ISPI.
