Session Title: Using Social Media for Learning & Performance Improvement

Session Description:

The use of social media on its own or as a blended component to training can be a powerful means for learning. This presentation is about the use of social media in the workplace and the considerations that need to be made in order to make it an effective component of your overall learning strategy.

Session Objectives:

In this session, participants will learn how to:

    1. Define roles in support of social media & networking.
    2. Describe how social media can and has been used in organizations.
    3. Describe how to overcome objections to using social media.
    4. Identify questions that will help you formulate your social media strategy

About the Speaker:

Kevin is President of Engaged Learning and serves as a Social Media & Networking Strategist for NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center.  He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon in Business Management, and is nearing the completion of his Masters in Instructional & Performance Technology from Boise State.  Kevin’s blog can be found at EngagedLearning.net.
