February One-Day Workshop – Presented by Carl Binder

Introduction to Performance Thinking:  A Fast On-ramp to HPT

Session Description:

Introduction to Performance Thinking teaches you two simple models, and how to use them to address any opportunity for improving human performance.  With an emphasis on understanding basic concepts and learning the language of the Performance Chain and The Six Boxes Model, this full day workshop provides those new to HPT a fast on-ramp, and experience practitioners a plain English vocabulary for partnering with clients to achieve results.

This workshop is a great bargain for members and guests!  At ISPI, client organizations normally pay $495 per participant.

Session Objectives:

Those attending this workshop should be better able to:

  1. Describe and analyze elements of the performance chain to conduct front-end analysis and identify opportunities to establish and improve desired performance outcomes.
  2. Name and discuss the six categories of behavior influence that comprise the Six Boxes Model in plain, easy-to-understand language.
  3. Use the Six Boxes Model to configure performance improvement design or plans, incorporating both training and non-training components to optimize ROI.
  4. List opportunities from your own work where using the Six Boxes Approach to understand and improve performance could have a significant impact.
  5. Use the language of The Six Boxes to discuss and plan for better performance with colleagues and internal stakeholders.
