June Evening Program – Presented by Margo Murray
Engage Before the Exodus: Managing Knowledge, Inclusion, & Succession with Facilitated Mentoring
Two unusual phenomena challenge organizations today. First, how to create a climate of inclusion and get employees engaged sufficiently to retain the most productive. Second, managing the knowledge and intellectual capital investment in “baby boomers” who will make their exodus in the next five years. These performance issues will cost organizations millions if transparent succession planning and knowledge management strategies are not put in place.
This workshop will provide a model for succession planning, and share the operating concept of Facilitated Mentoring as a strategy for engagement, retention and equitable inclusion. Tools and practice opportunities will be given including calculating replacement costs, linking mentoring with an organization’s mission/goals and aligning with other performance improvement interventions.
