The Pizza Game (Value Stream Simulation)
A technique for hands-on learning of the principles of lean.

UNC Center City Charlotte Building ( 320 E. 9th Street, located at the corner of E. 9th and Brevard Streets)

Parking:

Parking tokens will no longer be sold at the registration desk. Parking is available in a number of pay lots surrounding the UNCC building. One such lot is at 

707 N. Brevard St. This is at the corner of 11th.  St.and Brevard St. Be sure to park in numbered spaces and pay the box (usually $4.00-$5.00) in the numbered slot corresponding to your spot. There is no change machine on site so make sure to bring exact change.

Session Description:

Participants of The Pizza Game Workshop will have fun running a hands-on factory model and will bring back practical lean skills.
Along the way "lean thinkers" will have fun identifying and correcting the eight wastes, and learn to see system constraints in organizations.
Participants will witness the "heartbeat" of a lean system while running a model future state.

About Our Speaker:

Bob Petruska has experience in aerospace, automotive, healthcare, food, office and services. Bob likes to take teams on a fun filled journey where passion for improvements meets innovative best practices. Teams take pride in creating their own success blueprints, and then rapidly implement positive changes to realize their desired future states.
He also holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Industrial Technology and a Master of Science Degree in Manufacturing Systems from Southern Illinois University. Bob is a senior member of ASQ, and is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
