    Greg Flickinger, Vice President of Manufacturing and Corporate Engineering at Snyder’s-Lance, Inc.

    Greg Flickinger is currently serving as Vice President of Manufacturing and Corporate Engineering for Snyder’s-Lance Inc. located in Charlotte, NC. Greg has worked for Snyder’s- Lance for over 6 years, focusing on transitioning the culture from a traditional structure to a high performance structure centered upon TEE (Total Employee Engagement). One of the key vehicles driving the change has been the implementation of TPM tools and methodologies. In his previous role as the Director of Manufacturing Greg’s team in the Charlotte Manufacturing site achieved an 11% reduction in total manufacturing cost. The improvement was gained through people and process without significant capital projects. Along with exceptional business performance, the site also drove safety and quality performance to historical levels. The leadership teams in Snyder’s-Lance’s Columbus, GA and Burlington IA manufacturing sites have replicated the engagement framework to drive even more impressive performance results. Most notably, the Columbus, GA site was able to reduce controllable cost by 9% in one year without directed capital. Prior to Snyder’s-Lance, Greg worked for General Mills in Strategic Technology Development focusing upon developing and launching food processing technology aimed at generating competitive advantage. Greg also worked in R&D product development as well as Headquarters Operations. In these roles, Greg had responsibility for the national launch of 11 products from concept to full production. In Greg’s final 3 years with General Mills he served as the Plant Operations Manager at a self-directed work team cereal plant that implemented a number of the systems and technologies that were developed when Greg served in the Strategic Technology Group. During Greg’s time leading the plant, the team reduced their cost per case by 12% becoming the lowest cost producer in the Big G Division. Greg has multiple invention records, 4 patent applications and 3 granted patents for food production processes and technologies. Greg received his Masters and Ph. D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois.

    Phil Everhardt, Director Business Development at Tata Interactive Systems

    Phil Everhardt has nearly 25 years of experience in the learning and technology fields. The majority of his time has been spent in sales and sales management roles for learning services organizations. His work has focused on learning services outsourcing, compliance learning and GRC platforms, and learning content providers. He has worked with a variety of clients ranging from mid-market companies to large multinationals.

    Don Kirkey, Director, Leadership Development at Lowe's, Inc.

    For over 25 years, Don Kirkey, Ed.D. has managed technical field service, employee and customer learning and development, and performance consulting functions – some as cost centers, some as profit-generating. He is currently Director of Leadership Development at Lowe’s Home Improvement. Don is a regular presenter at ISPI’s international conferences and has been an Encore and Masters Series presenter.

    John Heun, Manager, Business Readiness & Learning at TIAA-CREF

    John Heun has been improving human performance as a profession for over 15 years. Currently as a learning manager for TIAA-CREF, he consults to management and leads a team of learning consultants and instructional designers to do the same. By building powerful relationships and executing on meaningful projects intended to grow the business, his vision is to help TIAA-CREF exceed its business goals by helping engage its most important assets – its employees.

    We are seeking a high-level, experienced Training & Development Manager for a direct hire opportunity with a market leader in food safety, quality assurance, and customer experience management. Our client partners with leading brands across industries as diverse as food service, distribution & manufacturing and more!  The ideal candidate has experience as a producing manager, including LMS administration, and possesses a strong technical background, with specific experience in mobile technology.  This position is technology-focused and will design innovative and interactive e-learning activities, including web-based training, blended learning and virtual instructor-led material.  The majority of time will be spent on instructional design with the remaining time devoted to project management, team management and strategic initiatives. This role supervises two experienced and independent instructional designers.


    * Develop and deliver assigned training projects in a variety of content areas including leadership, soft skills and train-the-trainer.
    * Assess training needs of employees and departments in conjunction with management team.
    * Oversee and administer the Learning Management System (LMS) and online solutions.
    * Identify and implement key metrics and methods to measure training effectiveness.

    Education Requirements:

    * BA degree AND CPLP certification AND 10 years of experience
    * BA degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, Training & Development, or related areas of study and 7 years of experience
    * Master's degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, Training & Development, or related areas of study and 5 years of experience

    Additional Requirements:

    *  Experience with online authoring tools such as Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate, Flash or Raptivity
    *  Entrepreneurial spirit and wanting to having an impact
    *  Prioritize and balance competing demands and deadlines.
    *  Proven analytical and problem solving ability
