Effective Management Practice as Conversational Art

14 May 2020 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Consider this perspective: Organizations are networks of conversations and commitments, not adequately reflected in any org chart. Managers manage the fulfillment of others’ promises rather than the people themselves. When managers lead, they hold themselves accountable for their conversations – conversations that can positively influence how others execute.

This commitment-based approach to management requires additional skills and conversational competencies. Discover what’s possible when adopting this approach while practicing this conversational art with other attendees. As a result, you’ll identify your growth edges and realize how these practices can gain traction to make a difference!

Schedule:

  • 8:00 – 8:05 pm: Opening comments
  • 8:05 – 8:55 pm: Presentation
  • 8:55 – 9:00 pm: Closing comments

Presenter:

John B. Lazar has been a performance consultant and coach since 1983, including twenty-five years as a leadership/executive coach to CEOs and Presidents, business owners, executives, and senior managers through his company John B. Lazar & Associates, Inc.

He works with individual leaders and their teams, altering their perspectives, skill sets, stories and performance to produce socially and emotionally intelligent leadership and management, breakthrough execution and business results.

In addition to his leadership and executive coaching, he consults to companies on issues of leadership and management practices, communications, evaluation, executive team alignment, culture-strategy fit, and organizational change.
