Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) is a beloved tabletop role-playing game that requires players to use a range of leadership and problem-solving skills in order to succeed. This session will explore how these same skills can be applied in a corporate setting to improve leadership, team dynamics, and productivity. Through interactive exercises and discussion, participants will learn how to use D&D dungeon master skills such as planning and organization, facilitation, creativity, communication, and empathy to create a more engaging and productive work environment. Whether you are a seasoned D&D player or new to the game, this session will provide valuable insights and skills that can be applied in any profession.
Presenter: Sam Thomas
Sam Thomas is the Director of Learning and Development at Activision Blizzard King and has been a member of ISPI Charlotte since 2009. In her current role at ABK, she leads a team of instructional designers to new heights of creativity to put people first and think of players first. As the current President of the Charlotte Chapter, she strives to reignite the passion for Performance Improvement in Charlotte and surrounding areas and open the doors for people to present their passions.

John Reynolds is an Air Force veteran, an instructional designer at Activision Blizzard King, and a lifelong nerd. He strives to blur the line between creative training content creator and quest-giver. As an insatiable learner, he hopes to continuously connect with new people and gather fresh and exciting ways to change the game and keep training fun!
