April Evening Program – Presented by Louis Csoka
Performing at Your Best When It Matters Most
Session Description:
The challenge in today’s volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) environment is to attain and sustain exceptional performance. We know from elite athletes’ performance that the ultimate difference between success and failure in high stakes sporting games is all mental. The ability to perform at one’s best in extreme conditions comes from a combination of confidence, positive and adaptive thinking, a sense of calm and composure under fire, exceptional focus and concentration, and the ability to envision success before it happens.
This presentation will highlight a performance enhancement framework that has delivered outstanding performance results in a variety of business, military, and sport organizations. Developed at West Point in 1989, the systematic and integrated approach for achieving exceptional performance also serves as an excellent leader development program in which leaders enhance situational awareness, mental agility, learned instinct and “commander’s calm” leader capacities that are essential in a VUCA world. Participants will also learn about how groundbreaking new brain science can be incorporated into the development of mental skills that enhance performance.
